Health Services
SCLA is committed to keeping our students strong and healthy in body and mind, so that each student can learn effectively and be an engaged member of the SCLA community. In addition to a school nurse, we have staff to help students obtain the physical and mental health support they need, including visits with an onsite counselor or online counselor.
Administering Medication
Students who need medication administered by school staff during the school day must provide a signed Permission to Administer Medication form to the front office.
Spiritual Counseling
SCLA pastoral staff is available to support students who have questions about God and the Bible.
Emotional and Mental Health Counseling Services
At St. Croix Lutheran Academy, we care deeply about the well-being of every student—mind, body, and spirit. Life can bring stress, challenges, and moments when extra support is needed. To help students navigate these times with strength and hope, we provide access to caring counselors and trusted resources right here on campus.
SCLA partners with The Soul's Apothecary to provide therapy services on-site during the school day on Tuesday mornings and all day Wednesday. These services are provided by two therapists, Olivia Mader and Coriann Ponath.
Olivia Mader is a post-master's outpatient therapist-in-training at The Soul’s Apothecary who provides therapy services on-site at St Croix Lutheran Academy on Wednesdays during school hours. She has her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bethany Lutheran College.
Coriann Ponath is a licensed school counselor and outpatient therapist at The Soul's Apothecary. She has experience working with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, and behavioral concerns. She also enjoys working with parents and guardians to develop positive strategies and coping skills to use with their children. Coriann strives to create connections with her clients and to provide them with a safe environment to develop skills and learn.
The Soul's Apothecary offers the first two sessions free of charge, with subsequent services provided through a patient's health insurance. Check with your insurance company to understand your coverage, or reach out to Olivia directly.
